Discussing society growth, where is our current position? where we are currently at the invention of computers start of information distribution (information society) where we must drive the rapid growth of information in diversity and somehow change all aspects of social organization, including education, economy, and health. We as generation Z must be technology literate if we are not technology literate we will have difficulty in teaching the next century. Successful teachers are technology literate teachers and non-technology literate teachers will be left behind. 

We also have to be careful with technology, therefore there is digital literacy, what is digital literacy? Digital literacy is the ability to use digital technology, communication tools and access and evaluate information to function in society as knowledge. as for Digital Literacy Skills, namely, (1) Critical Thinking and Evaluation, (2) Collaboration, (3) Creativity, (4) Communication and Netiquette, (5) Finding and Selecting Information, (6) Digital Culture, (7) Online Safety Skills, (8) Functional Skills. ICT in ELT is a technology used to handle telecommunications, broadcast media, TV, Smart Phones, to communicate, create and manage information in learning and teaching in English. In the ICT in ELT course, we not only discuss how to communicate with technology but we also learn what technology is suitable for the next millennial generation of students. We must also be able to balance them with our technological skills.

ICT in ELT (terminology)
CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning), MALL (Mobile Assisted Language Learning), RALL (Robot Assisted Language Learning), TELL (Technology Assisted Language Learning), Blended Learning, which is a combination of online and offline classes, Flipped Learning, which provides material online such as in Google Classroom becomes time efficient and understands the material beforehand, LMS through platforms such as Quipper, Moodle or virtual class, TPACK with tpack competence, SAMR through Power Point, Word and others.

ICT activities in ELT
Teaching Presentation to be interesting usually uses Powtoon, Power point, Canva and others - Resourcing Teaching Materials Assignments and Projects for example using a blog as a portfolio - Classroom Activities using zoom, Mentimeter - Assessment using Quizizz or Google Form

What are the advantages and disadvantages of ICT in ELT?
the advantages are very rich learning resources, students become independent, critical thinking, and save time. while the shortcomings are low teacher knowledge and attitude toward ICT, health issues and so on.

Problems in ICT
on the teachers themselves who have not been able to follow technology and time management which is still a problem because they do not use technology properly.
